Workforce Planning Coordinator

The Workforce Planning team are responsible for the short to long-term planning for Flight, Cabin and Ground Crew across our network.  We are a fun and dedicated team responsible for delivering compliant and efficient rosters that align to business objectives.

 

The Role:

Based out of the Virgin Australia Brisbane HQ, the Workforce Planning Coordinator will be responsible for fostering a strong team culture by implementing clear processes and promoting open communication among team members. This role involves leave allocation for our frontline workers, ensuring WFP compliance with safety and organizational policies, while also maintaining documentation, identifying process improvements, and actively participating in safety initiatives to foster a positive and safe working environment.

As a Workforce Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain checklists and update procedures to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Identify potential process improvements and recommend enhancements for efficiency.
  • Ensure timelines are accessible, communicated and understood
  • Responsible for the implementation of Leave Planning and allocation for all roster groups managed by the Workforce Planning team.
  • Work collaboratively within the Workforce Planning team to ensure that key objectives for all roster groups are achieved.
  • Ensure all information provided is clear and accurate.

 

What you need to be successful:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong relationship-building abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Intermediate Computer skills including Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • SharePoint experience
  • Strong focus on accuracy and quality in documentation and reporting
  • A desire to learn and stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs and technologies
  • Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure success

Desirable but not required:

  • Aviation Experience
  • Workforce Planning Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with Power BI
  • Basic programming skills
