What you’ll be doing:
The New Business Manager is responsible for developing and optimising seller and assortment strategies, including seller targeting, outreach, and negotiation. They will ensure compliance during seller recruitment and maintain a competitive marketplace offering. Collaboration with the SEO team to optimise new sellers and listings, track seller interactions through CRM, and provide regular updates to leadership is key to this role along with building strong relationships with sellers, growing the seller pipeline, and supporting account management activities to drive performance and expansion opportunities.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Previous experience in a Business Development role with a demonstrated drive to set and achieve aggressive growth targets
- Have 5+ years marketplace experience
- Come with strong commercial acumen and strategy formulation experience
- Are a natural negotiator with strong analytical skills to assess and model seller proposals
- Have proven strong stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Have a well-developed understanding of online business models and economics
- Possess knowledge of Marketplace industry and competitor landscape
- Hold a tertiary degree or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Have previous experience with Mirakl platform and associated products e.g. Mirakl Connect (desirable)
- Can develop seller packs and sales materials (desirable)
