What you’ll be doing

Virgin Australia is continuing to change the face of the Australian aviation landscape. We are transforming our business to focus on our customers and their experiences to be Australia’s most loved airline. Investing in technology, digital, and data is a key part of our transformation, and we have commenced an extensive, multi-year IT program to enable this vision. We are currently looking for an experienced project delivery professional to lead and develop our IT Delivery function as Head of Portfolio Delivery. 

What is required in the role:

• Leadership of Project Delivery Office, project management and assurance.
• Oversight and leadership of delivery in a complex program
• Building maturity of the project delivery function within IT including business process and change management
• Gain buy-in and collaborate across executive leadership team to embed change
• Responsible for the identification, and management of program level risks
• Manage and prioritise project resourcing leveraging a mix of internal, external, and partner resources.
• Ensure the project teams utilise appropriate delivery methodologies, frameworks and processes to deliver the programme successfully.

What you need to be successful:

• 8+years’ experience leading and delivering complex and critical transformation change programs affecting multiple business areas
• An program leader who is exceptional at influencing stakeholder groups, leading program delivery teams and driving outcomes
• Proven success leading high-profile, complex transformational programmes of work and projects
• Natural ability to influence and can bring demonstrated examples of exemplary stakeholder management at C suite level
• Strategic vendor management
• Experience leading Governance groups.
