What you’ll be doing
Are you a problem solver, passionate about aviation and have had experience with airline inventory and distribution systems. Do you have a solid understanding of existing Edifact infra structure and would like to be part of the airline evolution to Offer/Order construct? Join our team as a Pricing & Inventory Specialist, where you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling Virgin Australia’s Strategic distribution initiatives for the now and into the future.
In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in pricing and inventory distribution tools to maximize revenue opportunities while delivering a seamless selling experience for our customers.
What we're looking for
- A degree in Business, Administration, or similar
- Certification in Fares and Ticketing 1 and 2 (or equivalent)
- 3+years’ experience in mid senior level role in Airline Distribution
- 1+ years working in agile environments including leading agile projects and cross functional teams
- Knowledge of fare structures, rules, and ATPCO fare filing
- Strong understanding of Pricing and Inventory Controls
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in the airline or travel industry
Desirable but not essential
- Experience in travel agencies, travel management, or air product distribution
- Product owner experience
- Knowledge of GDS ticketing, Sabre Fare Manager, and Sabre Revenue Management tools
- Familiarity with revenue accounting and air fare distribution
- Proven experience working with stakeholders, and vendors like ATPCO and Sabre
- Skills in relationship management and process design
- Proficiency in Power BI and Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
